Bright green eyes glanced at her sister, concern bright in their depths. She looks really scared... is what Owlpaw said true? But before Brightkit could speak her thought aloud, a yowl echoed across the Clearing.
“Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather under the Great Skull for a Clan meeting!”
Brightkit's eyes widened with excitement as the announcement reached her ears. A Clan meeting! There was no reason why she couldn't join in with her Clanmates this time; Lilyheart didn't have the excuse of traveling all the way from the Nursery's safe bones to the Great Skull to listen in. We're already outside!
“Come on!” It was Ivykit who led the way, racing towards Sweetstar. Brightkit had no chance but to follow her speedy sister, she too began to make her way across the Clearing.
As she walked, Ivykit and Mothkit had run ahead, Brightkit's eyes veered off of Sweetstar for a moment. Warriors were exiting their den; their eyes still blurry with sleep. She recognized Redfang with his bright orange pelt and sharp blue eyes. His fur was already bristling with his fiery temper that matched his coat. The tom was followed out by Snowpath with her soft white fur and gentle blue eyes. She always reminded Brightkit of her own mother; no wonder Lilyheart spoke highly of the young warrior.
The Warrior Den was the old and worn out ribs of a beached whale, or that's what Lilyheart called it. They were long bones resembling arches that sheltered the warriors from the harsh rains that pelted the WaterClan camp daily. Lilyheart often said “it's one of the costs of living so close to the water's edge.” Either way, the Warrior Den seemed cozy and warm, nestled in there with so many warm bodies nearby. I can't wait to sleep there!
“Watch it!”
Brightkit stumbled backwards, unaware that she had traveled so close to Redfang. She had crashed into his fiery pelt on accident, she had been so attached to the Warrior's Den she hadn't noticed.
The cream colored kitten's fur felt hot with embarrassment as the warrior's angry eyes met her's. “I'm—I'm sorry!” She stammered, unsure why the tom was so angry. Is it insulting to warriors if a kit runs into them? I'll have to ask mother when we get back to the Nursery...
“And so you should be,” Redfang spat before trotting towards Sweetstar.
Brightkit watched him leave, almost glad to be out of his frightening gaze. Shaking her pelt, as if trying to discard the eyes from her mind, the kitten focused on heading towards the Meeting. It was then she realized she had veered towards the other side of the Clearing, completely missing the Great Skull.
Flashing a glance at the other three dens, she tried to remember which was which. She could easily recognize the Apprentice Den; how many times had she dreamed of sleeping in the den's shadowy depths? The whale's upper arm socket that made up the Apprentice Den was large enough to cover both the entrance to the Den as well as the top, giving the apprentices a place free of wind and rain. The bone was supported by a large rock which gave extra shelter to the cats in training and a secure feeling. She had made friends with most of the apprentices sleeping there currently; she could name all three of them with ease.
First there was Darkpaw, with his bright amber eyes and long black pelt. He stood out on the sandy shore the Camp was located, but in the water, especially in night, he blended in with the water; a shadow reflected on the water's surface.
Then there were the two sibblings; Tawnypaw and Patchpaw. Twanypaw was easy enough to spot, her strange tortishell pelt was a site to see with so many colors intertwining in one pattern! Patchpaw's coloring was a bit more sublte, with just a few patches of brown and orange to be seen on his flank.
As Brightkit began to turn back to the Meeting, her eyes strayed to the Medicine Cat Den, the whale's tail curling around to mark the entrance to the shallow burrow. Her brother, Owlpaw, and the medicine cat, Roseblossom, were sitting just outside of it's entrance. She could make out and smell the sharp tang of herbs, which Roseblossom stored in the spaces between the narrow bones that sheltered the two cats, and the sick cats inside, from harms way.
Before Brightkit turned to make her way towards the Meeting, she spotted the Elder's Den with a small smile. She really liked that den, Spottedpelt slept there. She was a kind elder, always willing to share stories about the time when there were four Clans. Of course, she hadn't been alive to witness such things; but the stories had been passed down from generation to generation. The Elder's Den was made up of two of the baby whale's bones connecting at both ends; the middle of both bones were bent, leaving a perfect opening for a den. Inside, the den sloped downwards, a burrow comfortable for at least three cats. I hope Spottedpelt isn't lonely in there, all by herself. I should visit her soon... Brightkit thought, before turning back to the Meeting.
She stumbled over to her littermates, sitting to left of Ivykit. All eyes were focused on their leader, Sweetstar. Her cream colored coat sparkled in the sun, it was a good morning to hold a meeting. The ground was still soggy from last night's downpour, but there were no clouds to cover the sun's rays today. Finally! We can play outside again!
“WaterClan, it is time to welcome two new warriors into our ranks. Tawnypaw and Patchpaw, please step forward.” The leader's eyes sparkled with warmth as the two cats stepped forward. That's when Brightkit remembered; they were the leader's own kits!
“I, Sweetstar, leader of WaterClan, call upon our warrior ancestors to look down on these two apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I condemn them to you as warriors in their turn.” Her eyes alight with pride, the leader's gaze fell upon both apprentices. From where she sat, Brightkit could only see the backs of both cats but she could only imagine their excitement. Imagine it! Becoming WARRIORS!
“Patchpaw, Tawnypaw do you promise to uphold the warrior code, and to protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your life?”
The siblings answered together, the two words echoed across the clearing. “I do.”
“Then by the power of StarClan, I grant you your warrior names. Patchpaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Patchfur. StarClan honors your cunning and your bravery in battle, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WaterClan.”
Without hesitation, Sweetstar turned towards her other kit, Tawnypaw. “Tawnypaw, from this moment on you shall be known as Tawnyfeather. StarClan honors your speed and skill in the water, and we welcome you as a full warrior of WaterClan.”
The excitement that surronded Brightkit then was like a current, pulling her into the chant that erupted across the Clan. “Patchfur! Tawnyfeather! Tawnyfeather! Patchfur!” Both cats had turned to face the Clan now, their eyes bright with happiness and pride. Brightkit couldn't help but join in, she was one of the last cats to chant as the call began to die down. “Tawnyfeather! Pat-- oh.” Realizing that the chant had ceased, the kitten turned to her littermates, ears hot.
Ivykit was laughing loudly, mocking her sister playfully. “Tawnyfeather! Tawnyfeather!” She shouted loudly, chuckling. “Nicely done, sis!”
Brightkit couldn't help but giggle at her mistake as well, swiping at her sister's ear. “Ha, at least I was cheering. You two were as silent as the bones we sleep under!”
Both kittens shrugged in response to Brightkit's observation, as if it didn't really matter. Which it didn't. I guess she had just felt good to cheer with the rest of the Clan.
So this is Part Two of the story I'm writing with :iconhareclawofskyclan: and :iconiammusic1:. It's based on Erin Hunter's series WARRIORS. I'll post the Summary in another submission AND on my journal.

Yeah, I know. xD

Anyways, I hope you enjoy. The story is in three different perspectives (as you'll soon figure out). The first one (linked below) is in Mothkit's eyes. I'll be writing in Brightkit's eyes (for the most part anyways) and Sorrel shall be writing in Ivykit's eyes.

COMMENT OR DIE! XD
